Monkeypox Is declared as a Global Emergency by WHO

The WHO has classified the monkeypox outbreak as a public health emergency of global concern.

WHO OFFICIALS CLAIM THAT THE SPREAD OF MONKEYPOX IS CURRENTLY A GLOBAL EMERGENCY.

 Ghebreyesus said in a statement last month that the WHO Emergency Commission decide that the outbreak was not an international public health emergency.

 At that time, he said, Monkeypox cases reached 3,040, according to reports. in 47 countries. Since then, the outbreak has spread to more than 16,000 reported cases and 5 deaths in 75 countries. 

 On Friday, the United States reported the first two cases of monkeypox in children, according to the Centers for Diseasntrol and Prevention.

AN INCREASING GLOBAL PROBLEM IS A MONKEYPOX.

Monkeypox started to spread more broadly in May when officials recorded hundreds of cases worldwide. Even though the virus has been present in some areas of central and west Africa for decades.
