The Norwegian scored the game-winning goal with six minutes left to play. It used his telescopic left leg to prod the ball home for the winner. This occurred despite the fact that he was kept pretty quiet.

Haaland has scored 13 goals in eight outings for City:

After City paid his buyout cost to leave German powerhouses Bayern Munich for $58 million (£51 million), Haaland has scored 13 goals in eight outings for City. This comes after City paid his buyout money.

Due to the efforts of Jude Bellingham, Dortmund took the lead 11 minutes into the second half.

In contrast, a triple substitution awakened City from its lethargy. It, however, culminated in two goals in four minutes that changed the flow of the game in favor of City. These goals turned the tide of the game in City’s favor and ultimately won them the game.

Because Alexander Meyer wasn’t doing a very good job in goal, John Stones was able to tie the score with a piledriver from outside the box.

Haaland stole the show:

The attention then went to Haaland. He stole the show by extending to his far post to meet Joao Cancelo’s cross and slotting it past Meyer. This caused the limelight to shift back to Haaland.

As a result of Dortmund’s defeat and the goalless draw between FC Copenhagen and Sevilla in Copenhagen. Man City is now in first place in Group G with three points. Bellingham admitted the night before the game that he did not know how to defend against Haaland and had no idea what to do.

The Germans did an excellent job during the first half of the game of restricting the service to their former star scorer. It resulted in the goal area being rather quiet.

After a lengthy delay, the start of the second half eventually arrived. It was the away team that posed the initial significant threat.

A fast counterattack put up Marco Reus inside the penalty area, and he easily got by fellow ex-Borussia Dortmund player Manuel Akanji before bending a shot that went way outside the far post.

Dortmund scored the goal that would prove to be the game-winning one:

The wake-up call was ignored by City. Four minutes later, Dortmund scored the goal that would prove to be the game-winning one.

Several clubs in the Premier League, such as City, Manchester United, and Liverpool, have been mentioned in connection with a potential transfer for Bellingham.

The England international didn’t waste any time on Tuesday to put an end to rumors about his future, and with a brilliantly timed run to head in Reus’ cross, he may have enhanced his price tag by a few million dollars in the process.

When this occurred, Guardiola quickly made three substitutes to offer greater finesse in the final third. Bernardo Silva for Bernardo Silva, Phil Foden for Phil Foden, and Julian Alvarez for Julian Alvarez.

Stones scored his first goal in the Champions League in 2017:

Foden made a methodical run into the box and hit a low cross. However, Mats Hummels made a superb last-ditch interception to thwart Haaland’s attempt to capitalize on the opportunity he had been anticipating the entirety of the match.

Stones scored his first goal in the Champions League since 2017 to bring City back equal. He did so from outside the penalty area.

However, Haaland was not to be denied the limelight as City’s tall number nine pounced on Cancelo’s deft cross with the outside of his right foot and raised his foot to head height to flick the ball home. Cancelo’s brilliant cross was the catalyst for Haaland’s goal.
