‘The Last Of Us’ HBO Video Game First Trailer Adaptation is Intense

On Monday, HBO published the first official teaser for it’s highly anticipated ” The Last of Us ” TV series, giving fans their first glimpse at the adaptation of the popular post-apocalyptic computer game. The show will air in 2023.

The “Last of Us” series, like the PlayStation video game, follows a tough survivor named Joel, played by “The Mandalorian” star Pedro Pascal, as he treks across a United States destroyed by the cordyceps fungus. Along the journey, he meets a little girl named Ellie, played by “Game of Thrones” alum Bella Ramsey, who is instrumental in discovering a cure for the zombie-like virus that has ravaged humanity.

On September 26, also known as “Outbreak Day” in the “The Last of Us” community, the trailer was unveiled.

The cordyceps fungus first spread across the United States on September 26 in the first video game. Fans will recognise key scenes from “The Last of Us” video game, including Joel and Ellie escaping a quarantine zone, two collapsing skyscrapers they must traverse, Ellie riding a merry-go-round with her childhood friend Riley, and Joel running with his daughter Sarah at the start of the pandemic, in the trailer set to Hank Williams’ “Alone and Forsaken.”

Clickers are the shambling creatures that the cordyceps fungus transforms into in its victims.

They grow mushroom-like spores from their faces and a ravenous appetite for human flesh. In HBO’s brief trailer from this morning, you can hear the clickers using a spine-chilling sort of echolocation to pursue their victims because they are unable to see.
