The American Music Awards:50th Show on Sunday Evening

On Sunday evening at the Microsoft Auditorium in Los Angeles, the American Music Awards were held. Wayne Brady serve as the program’s host for the joint effort between ABC and dick clark productions.

Eight nominations, including his first-ever win for artist of the year, gave Puerto Rican artist Bad Bunny the most nods this year, topping the list of nominees. For “Un Verano Sin Ti,” his winning albums for favorite Latin album and favorite male Latin artist both came home with him.
Taylor Swift made history at the AMAs, winning fan-voted musician of the year despite the Eras Tour ticket debacle.
Taylor Swift, however, was the night’s big winner, taking home the artist of the year award. As well as the other six genres for in which she was nominating. With 40 career victories, the triumphs solidified Swift’s position as the most prestigious artist in AMA history.
Moreover, The Icon Award was giving to 17-time AMA winner Lionel Richie in recognition of his professional achievements in the music business. Richie received a moving performance tribute from Charlie Puth, Stevie Wonder, and other musicians.

Furthermore, Elton John won his first AMA award since 1988 for outstanding partnership with Dua Lipa. Also become the show’s longest-recognized artist. (He received his first AMA nomination in 1974.)
