Anita Pointer: Grammy-Winning Pointer Sister Member died

Anita Pointer passed away on December 31 at her Beverly Hills home. She was a charter member of the Pointer Sisters, a multi-genre musical band. It was a 74-year-old woman.

Moreover, Ruth Pointer, the only surviving member of the original Pointer Sisters, a group of four sisters, has passed away. The 23rd of January 1948 saw the birth of Anita Marie Pointer in Oakland, California. The sisters started singing in the choir at the cathedral where their father served as a pastor.
After leaving her position as a legal office secretary, Anita started her singing career in the late 1960s. In 2015, she stopped touring.
She gathered art and collectibles by and about African Americans. Her publicist claims that she amasse such a large collection that the Pointer Sisters’ “Ever After” show was giving the whole upper floors of the Hollywood Studios in Los Angeles. Furthermore, Ruth, Anita, and Bonnie’s final photograph was taking during the exhibition before Bonnie passing away in 2020. May Pointer passed away in 2006.
