Do you like to take selfies? How many do you take per day? Do you post it on social media to get some beautiful comments or just keep it to yourself? Well, everybody does that but the intensity varies.
What is Obsession:

Obsession is a feeling of being in love with something and repeating it again and again. It might be something related to others or related to one’s own self. You can get obsessed with a song, a person, a food item or your own personality.
How taking selfies can lead to self-obsession?
Taking one or two selfies a day doesn’t leads to self-obsession but taking hundred to thousand selfies a day can surely lead you to it but the question is what does self-obsession mean? It means loving yourself so much that it takes you away from being normal. You get into it so much that you can’t tolerate if someone doesn’t praise you or like your pictures on social media. You start taking the stress and ultimately suffer from depression. This happens when your intensity of self-obsession goes to a dangerous peak.
Signs and Symptoms of Selfie-Obsession:
There are many signs and symptoms to indicate that you or your fellow person is going into selfie obsession.

Taking too many Selfies per day:
The very first sign of developing selfie obsession is that the person starts to take so many selfies per day that are more than normal. They keep on taking selfies the whole day until it doesn’t fit their choice.

Stress:

Another symptom that contributes is having stress if that person’s selfie doesn’t get much likes. It makes a person to get into tension and become aggressive so much that leads them to overthink and eventually suffer from depression.

Loss of Appetite and Sleep:
The person makes himself so much busy in taking selfies that they don’t even bother to eat or sleep. They are always keeping a check on the likes and comments.
The trend is rising all around the world.
Conclusion:

No doubt, taking selfies keep you connected with your friends and family but it has now reached to a dangerous level. People are seen taking selfies during road crossing or driving that causes many serious breath-taking accidents. This now needs to be minimized. There should be a fine of doing this in public. But unfortunately, we will always oppose it but, somehow, will do the same things ourselves. We are not ending it, instead, we are setting new trends. Excess of everything is bad. Taking selfies is normal but taking so many selfies that is disturbing your personal life, should be avoided.
