PSG Crowned Ligue 1 Champions
After a draw against Lens, this club has declared Ligue 1 champions. After a 1-1 draw with Lens on Saturday, Paris Saint-Germain clinched the Ligue 1 championship. They were booed off at halftime as a tenacious Lens made life tough for PSG’s star-studded players, and it appeared like they could have to wait another week to clinch their win.

Lionel Messi, scored in the 68th minute to claim his first title since coming from Barcelona last summer. He lazily stroked a curling shot past Lens goalie Jean-Louis Leca after receiving the ball 25 yards from goal. PSG reclaimed the championship from Lille, who were the surprise winners the previous season, with a tie.
PSG have dominated the competition in 2021-22, winning their 10th domestic championship, and are 16 points ahead of second-placed Marseille with five games left.
During their domestic season
During their domestic season, they have only lost four league games while scoring 76 goals. Pochettino has just two prior managerial titles, both with the club. He won the Trophee des Champions soon after his appointment in 2020, and he had won the Coupe de France the previous season.

Pochettino, the former manager of Tottenham Hotspur, was a candidate for the Manchester United manager’s post, but the Old Trafford club chose Ajax head coach Erik ten Hag instead.
Pochettino, who took over at this club in January 2021 after Thomas Tuchel stepped down, signed a contract extension last summer that would extend until June 2023.
PSG’s star and Ligue 1 top scorer Kylian Mbappe’s future is also in question. The contract of the 23-year-old ends in June, and he has been linked with a move to Real Madrid for some time.
