With a 123-111 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday night, Anthony Davis limped around with a twisted ankle as the Los Angeles Lakers resumed their march back into the postseason.

After injuring his ankle, Anthony Davis scored 38 points and helps the Lakers late

Chris Finch, the coach of the Wolves, stated that Davis, who scored 17 of his

team- high 38 points in the final period to help Those Lakers win their fifth game in a row and go above.500 for the first time this season, “kicked our ass in every manner possible.”

Midway through the third quarter, when Davis stepped backwards onto Lakers forward Wenyen Gabriel’s foot, he twisted his left ankle. .

When play resumed on the other end, the Lakers’ big man collapsed to the ground. L.A. was down 76-70 at the start of the subsequent stoppage, and Davis needed assistance getting to the bench.

Davis did not fumble a single opportunity. After the break in play, he returned to the game and helped the Lakers go on a 24-2 run to take the lead going into the fourth quarter.

Davis noted following the game, “I knew I was going to play.

“Tightened the laces on the shoes and kind of played the game off of adrenaline. Until it was time to need medical attention. I’ll be alright, though.”  When the Lakers play the Houston Rockets on Sunday to begin their road trip, Davis stated he will be in the starting lineup. The Lakers are on a “get back” tour as they try to win four games in a row against four teams that they lost to earlier in the season: Chaicago, Minnesota, Houston, and Utah.

In each of the team’s first two victories, Davis has scored 38 points. With 17 rebounds and two blocks on Friday, he went 15 for 26 from the pitch and 8 for 10 from the foul line. LeBron James, who scored 18 points, 10 rebounds, and six assists in just his third game back after a four-week absence due to a ruptured tendon in his right foot, remarked, “We hopped on AD’s back and he brought us home.”

We are currently battling for our lives, so treat every game like a playoff match, advised Lakers forward Jarred Vanderbilt. “We’re fighting for our spot and still have our sights set on the sixth seed.Which we believe is still within our grasp. Take care of your own affairs for the time being, and the rest will take care of itself.” The Lakers, who started the season 2-10, are currently among the NBA’s hottest teams.

While Friday marked a continuation of L.A.’s season-long turnaround, it also symbolized deeper redemption.

The Lakers’ season first went astray in December 2021 at Target Center after Jaden McDaniels collided with Anthony Davis’ knee. Also forced him to miss more than a month of action. On his previous injury problems versus the Wolves, Davis remarked. “I don’t really try to worry about that. Let the bad thoughts get in my head.” Just attempt to play outside.

However, before to Friday’s breakthrough, the Lakers had only had a 1-5 record in Minnesota since James joined the team. James declared, “This game is done. Houston is currently the center of our attention.
