Blue Monday, Stay Positive on the Most Depressing Day
Blue Monday: How to Stay Positive on the Year’s Most Depressing Day

Blue Monday, named after the fact that it falls on the first Monday after Christmas. On top of that, it is usually the coldest day of the year.
Generally, there are plenty of reasons to perk up and avoid Blue Monday.
Consequently, the effects are different for everyone. So we asked professionals how they stay positive even on a bad day. Here are their answers.
Potter, Stevie Emotional Exercise
Don’t push it. Strangely, I recommend ‘exercising’ your emotions. You shouldn’t be ashamed of your sadness. Embrace the fact that it’s only transitory and that it will pass. So feel it, but be ready to take action as soon as you feel it.
Keep an eye on your ambitions. Refocus on your goals for success this year when you’ve had your fill of feeling emotions. However, remember that moping won’t get you there! Effort and dedication do!
Get outside.
Generally, get outside and move, it doesn’t have to be a sweat-fest. It may be a short stroll. Bring on the sun, wake up, and enjoy the happy hormones!
Avoid fast food. For those rare occasions when nothing else will do, a warm cup of hot chocolate or a crisp feast is what the doctor ordered. But don’t make it a routine. Keep in mind that binge-eating is related to increased guilt. This is a recipe for a whirlwind Blue Monday.
