The Chicago Blackhawks announced that Hockey Hall of Famer and Stanley Cup champion Bobby Hull died Monday at the age of 84.

 IN 1972 HALL LEFT THE NFL

Hull left the NHL in 1972 to play for the Winnipeg Jets of the (WHA). In his six seasons with the WHA, Hull has been name the group’s Greatest Value Performer twice. He led the Jets to championships in 1976 and 1978, finishing him second in goals and third in points in league history. Hull’s son Brett is also a member of the Hockey Hall of Fame.
