BOISE – Nobody will likely describe the 2022 BYU football season as a tremendous success. This season for BYU hasn’t lived up to the enormous boise expectations that were placed on it before the season even began.

The loss to Boise State for BYU restarts the season

You can’t help but admire what BYU did against a Boise State team that was on a roll on Saturday night after they endured a four-game losing streak in October.

Boise State “always brings out the best” in BYU’s team, according to coach Kalani Sitake earlier this week. On Saturday night on the Blue, they certainly gave it their all by pulling off an unexpected 31-28 victory.

FOOTBALL AT BYU IS ONE STEP AWAY FROM SECURING A BOWL INVITATION

It’s not a victory that will go down in BYU football history as one of the great victories. It is, however, a triumph over a rival in the rivalry’s projected penultimate chapter. Perhaps even more significantly, it’s a victory that almost guarantees a bowl game bid for this season.

According to BYU coach Kalani Sitake, “we’re one step closer to prolonging the season and receiving those crucial [bowl] practices.” “And for us to grow our young men, it is crucial. I believe we simply reminded our guys that winning is difficult and that they should never take it for granted when they were going through that rut. So, keep in mind this sensation. Keep your head down and prepare for the next one.

ADORE LEARNING

In the last month, BYU players have engaged in challenging post-game discussions. So they once more relished the triumphant thrill. BYU players could be heard singing “Rise & Shout” as they exulted in the impressive victory while the media waited outside the locker room for the postgame press conference.

Puka Nacua chuckled, “Love and learning for certain is a lot better when we’re winning. “… However, it was great to see Blake [Freeland], Clark [Barrington], and many other men enjoying a great time. It’s lovely to see genuine smiles rather than forced ones on everyone’s faces. Everything feels much better when you win. It feels fantastic to win whether you are hurt or in good health.

KEEP ON GOING

After going eleven weeks in a row without a break, BYU receives a much-needed bye week. On November 19 for Senior Day against Utah Tech, they then resume play. before playing Stanford in Palo Alto on November 26 to finish the regular season.

Jaren Hall, the quarterback for BYU, indicated that nothing had changed in his approach. “You know, we haven’t heard anything but bad chatter for weeks. There will therefore be a lot of optimistic chatter presently. We can’t focus on that, either, and we must maintain the same attitude that led to tonight’s victory. The only thing that counts is us, the men in this locker room, and our families. Just maintain your composure and recognize that we still have a few games on the calendar to play.
