Brad Pitt, one of the hottest movie stars of the past decades, could soon retire. He added he is in the ‘ final stage ‘ of his acting career. The American actor first rose to fame in 1991 for his role as a hitchhiking cowboy in Ridley Scott’s road movie Thelma and Louise.

The actor played roles in big-budget productions like A River Runs Through It, Legends of the Fall, and Interview with the Vampire. He began to garner critical acclaim for his performances in films like David Fincher’s crime thriller Seven and the Terry Gilliam sci-fi tube 12 monkeys. The latter earned him his first Oscar nomination.
The actor finally won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role as stuntman Cliff Booth in Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. He was nominated for the award for both The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and Silver Ball.

A memorable part in The Lost City

Pitt went away for a while because of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, when he came back, he had a memorable part in The Lost City with Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum. It seemed like the 58-year-old actor’s career was about to get a second wind. Still, it doesn’t look like it will.
During a recent interview with GQ magazine, the actor suggested he might retire from acting very soon. Moreover, he said he’s in the ‘ final stage ‘ of his acting career. The actor clearly sees his film career as ending rather than resuming. He calls this current period he finds himself in ” last semester or quarter .” Read Pitt’s full comment below:

I consider myself in my last stage, this last semester or quarter. What will this section be? And how do I want to design this?

Given his recent comments, which should be taken with a grain of salt, it’s not clear how many more roles Pitt will take on after that. Pitt said similar things in 2011 when he said he planned to retire by 2014. This didn’t happen, of course.
Since then, he’s had a few career-best performances in The Big Short and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. He, thus proves he’s still got plenty in the tank. No matter when Brad Pitt decides to retire, he’s already accomplished enough in his career . He is one of the most legendary men of all time.
