BYU Football: What is the Orgin and History?

Today, we will discuss about one of the most trending topics of the Google which is BYU Football. So, we decided to keep our readers more informed about it. We will discuss some of the unknown aspects about the BYU Football.
BYU FOOTBALL
This team is the program of college football which represents Brigham Young Football, it is the abbreviation of (BYU). They are also calling Cougars, and they start their career in football competitions in year 1922. BYU won one national championship and 23 conference championships in 1984. It competed in many different athletic conferences in their history, but they started competing independently since 1st July, 2011.

Now we will discuss some of its history:
HISTORY:
History started from late 19th century. In 1892, BYU make their 3rd principal which was influenced Benjamin Cluff. There was ban on football for 20 years, and after that the revival of football is starting. In 1920, inter-collegiate games were again starting.
Furthermore, we will discuss about the eras of the this football under different coaches:
ERA OF LAVELL EDWARDS (1972 TO 2000):
Lavell Edwards was an assistant coach before promoting to the rank of head coach in 1972. He worked very hard for installing the new spirit to the players of the team, which help them for the revival of it.
ERA OF MOUNTAIN WEST (1999 TO 2011):
WAC was leaving by it with other 7 teams in 1999. They began to make Mountain West Conference. And cougars win a major share in all of this.
INDEPENDENCE (2011 TO PRESENT):

It announce to be playing independently on 1st of September of 2010. These are the some of the aspects of team BYU.
