Deku and Uraraka will Get Together in My Hero Academia
Promotional Art from My Hero Academia Suggests that Deku and Uraraka Will Get Together

Promotional art for My Hero Academia Vol. 33 says that the romance that fans wanted the most but never got could still happen. If you look at this picture, you might think that Deku and Uraraka are getting close.
My Hero Academia’s author, Kohei Horikoshi, has never let his main character, Izuku Midoriya, have a real relationship. U.A. High Academy is a high school, so it must be the right place to start a relationship, right? However, the young heroes were too busy dealing with one problem after another to stop and help anyone, let alone help each other. No, Deku didn’t always act like he didn’t want to be around the other sex at the start. This was especially true of his classmate Ochako Uraraka. It seemed that she developed feelings for him, especially when she was jealous of how he was with Mei Hatsume. A lot of people thought that Horikoshi had dropped the storyline completely because of how cute and fun the two young heroes were together.
Reasons for Manga not Leaving Room for any Love:

Most of the recent events in the manga didn’t leave any room for love. Confrontation with All for One took a turn for the worse when a lot of bad guys broke out of the Tartarus prison. This caused civilians to lose faith in heroes. When All for One wants to get their hands on Deku’s One of All quirk, Deku decided to stay away from his friends. Meanwhile, he starts his vigilante campaign to find the escaped villains and learn more about All for One’s plans. It includes where All for One hides. “Dark Deku” was the name given to Deku’s costume after weeks of fighting. It was covered in blood and dirt, and the usually nice and caring character took on a sinister look. That’s when she played a big part in getting him back, and his class 1-A friends did the same.
Deku in torn, Old Clothes Resting in Ams of Uraraka’s Arms:
Ads show a dirty, torn and ragged Deku still in his old clothes. However, his face is calm, he isn’t wearing the mask that made him look so bad, and he is resting in Uraraka’s arms. The girl even looks right at the people who are reading. She puts her finger to her mouth as if asking them not to bother Deku during this well-earned rest. Uraraka played an important role in making Deku realize that his friends are not a burden and can protect him just as well as he can protect them. This is a beautiful picture, and it also reminds him of Uraraka’s role in that.
In the end, it was Ochako’s powerful, moving speech that convinced the crowd of people who gathered inside U.A. High for protection to let Deku in, even though the villains want to kill him. All of Deku’s classmates worked hard to get him back, but it was Uraraka who made it possible for him to come home.

This doesn’t mean, of course, that couples’ romance is back on the table (if it ever was). The heroes are busy planning their last move against All for One and Shigaraki. Nonetheless, this promotional art sums up Deku’s journey alone and Uraraka’s important role in his life very well. Fans of the most talked-about romance in My Hero Academia can still hope that Deku and Ochako will one day be together.
