Many users were unable to connect on Discord due to a massive outage that occurred on Wednesday afternoon. Users were unable to join calls or participate in text chats. It was explicitly when the outage began at approximately 2:45 p.m. ET. The official Discord Twitter account says, “We are currently investigating a widespread API outage and are attempting to repair this ASAP.” Since fixing the problem, as the account tweeted at 5:19 p.m.we may see restoration in ET connection now.”

The gaming community makes extensive use of Discord, which now boasts 150 million monthly active users.
