Do you want to know who was the first lady of television? Who motivated the females that they can excel in this field? Who was the first one? Yes, She was Betty White who died just few days back. Her full name was Betty Marion White Ludden. She was the first lady of television. She was a strong women who took the revolution that women can also be a part of television.
Reason behind being called ‘White’ :
The ‘White’ in Betty white’s name is due to the reason that she was the first women to step inn the entertainment industry. Moreover, She was both at front and behind the camera as well. That’s why she got the Title ‘First lady of Television.’
Marital Life:
Dick Barker:
Betty did his first marriage with Dick Barker who was a US airforce pilot. They met at American Women’s Voluntary Services. The couole got married after the worried and moved to Ohio. Her husband wanted to spend a simple life by raising a chiken fam there. This made Betty to think again on her marriage because she wanted to excel her career and enjoy it. So they decided to be divorced. They got seperated within a year.
Lane Allen:
After her bad experience of marriage, she took another try and married Lane Allen in 1947. Aleen was a Hollywood talent agent. Sadly, her second marriage also didn’t went well because of clash of thinking between both of them. Her husband wanted to have children but betty wanted to enjoy her career sparks instead of becoming a mother. So they divorced. Their marriage span was of two years hardly.
Allen Ludden:
He was her third husband with whom she got married in 1963. He was already the father of three children and Betty was her stepmother. This marriage was the best one for Betty. Both were really very happy with each other. Ludden died with stomach cancer in 1981, after 18 years of their marriage.
Betty didn’t got married after Ludden because she once said in an interview ‘when you have the best, who needs the rest.’
Conclusion:
Betty died on 31 December, 2021. She was very excuted to celebrate her 100th birthday but Gkd wanted something else. She died after enjoying 99 glorious years of her life.
