Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s much-awaited film Gangubai Kathiawadi has finally been released. Although it has previously been screened at a special event, the film has gotten a rousing reception from both B-town insiders and critics. In his review of the Alia Bhatt starrer, Taran Adarsh, a well-known film reviewer, and influential figure expressed his delight for the film and dubbed it “Brilliant.”

In the opinion of Taran Adarsh, the biopic Gangubai Kathiawadi is an excellent film. “A Magician,” Taran refers to filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali, whom he calls  “A Magician.” ‘Gangubai’ is a fictionalized account of a young woman who was sold into prostitution by a suitor. The film chronicles her life’s journey, including her trials and triumphs over adversity.

‘An absolute master storyteller’, according to the actor Ritesh Deshmukh, who worked with Bhansali. On top of that, Alia’s performance was praised by the director, who claimed that the actress had exceeded herself.

One of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s and Alia Bhatt’s best works, the film has been hailed as one of their finest achievements. Alia Bhatt’s performance in the film is widely considered to be her best ever. Aside from the excellent production design, the sound and background soundtrack of the film are also well received by the public.

In yet another instance, filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali is presented with a change in the title of his picture. It has been suggested by the Court that Mr. Bhansali alter the title of his upcoming film Gangubai Kathawadi, which is set to be released on Friday. As a result of the several lawsuits currently proceeding in various courts seeking to prevent its distribution. Earlier today, Siddhartha Dave, the counsel for Bhansali Productions, notified the Supreme Court that he will consider some opinions from his client regarding the given idea made by a lower court. In the meantime, the Supreme Court will continue to hear arguments in the case on Wednesday.

More than a dozen lawsuits have been filed against the film, with the goal of preventing its release – Gangubai Kathiwadi is based on the real-life sex worker who indulged in politics in Mumbai’s Kamathipura neighborhood. A case involving Babu Ravji Shah, the genuine Gangubai’s adoptive son, is one of these instances.

The story of Gangubai is taken from Hussain Zaidi’s book Mafia Queens of Mumbai and cast Alia Bhatt in the main role.

Babu Ravji Shah criticized that the film is giving a bad name to his mother. He has challenged an order from the Bombay High Court which said no  to stay the release of the film
