PURPLE MAGIC WITH THE GOOGLE MARKS THE NINTH BIRTHDAY OF BTS ARMY
On July 9, 2022, Google launched two new collaborations with BTS to commemorate the 9th anniversary of the creation of BTS ARMY, the name of the big fan base of K-POP superstars.
Starting Friday (US time zone), fans searching for “BTS” on Google will be able to unlock their secret Easter eggs. Moreover, On the BTS search results page (mobile or desktop), users can click the purple heart icon that appears next to the BTS header in the upper left. This unleashes a barrage of purple balloons that can be popped with a click or tap. Click on the balloon with a microphone to see a special voice message from the band members themselves.

“BTS has so much positive energy that we wanted to incorporate a little of it into our search,” Elissa Wolff, a lead software engineer for Google’s Joy feature, said in a statement provided to Variety. Furthermore she says, “I am a fan, so I was excited to work on this project!”
