Google’s New Office On The Hudson River Has A Rooftop Park With Views Of New York City
Google has officially opened its new headquarters for employees in New York City. It’s a sprawling facility on a pier that juts out into the Hudson River, and it has a two-acre rooftop park with views of Lower Manhattan and Little Island.
On Pier 57, there are three buildings with office space for about 450 people. They’re above the West Side Highway near 15th Street in Chelsea.
The two-acre park is open to everyone. At the Tribeca Film Festival, there are also food stands and a place where films can be shown outside.
In January, the new work schedule will be available in New York City, San Francisco, and other major American cities.
The mayor and other public officials have asked businesses to bring their employees back to work as a way to boost the local economy, which has been hurting since the coronavirus pandemic began.

Google, which has 12,000 employees in the city, wants to grow its business in New York.
An office building in Manhattan’s Hudson Square was purchased for $2.1 billion at the time, which was the highest price ever paid for a commercial property. In the history of office building purchases, this was the greatest money ever spent. 111 Eighth Avenue in Chelsea is the location of a Google building. There are two smaller structures on the property. The Milk Building, located at 450 W. 15th Street, is owned by Google.
Before this month, Google asked its employees to come back to work at least three days a week as part of a new hybrid model. This month, the company changed its policy.
Starting in January, people in New York City, the San Francisco Bay Area, and other big cities across the United States will be able to use the new work schedule. According to Google, it “balances the best of being together in person with the best of being anywhere.”
