Google New Algortithm of Product Evaluation, March 2022
Google New Algorithm Of Product Evaluation Upgrade for March 2022

The current product reviews update considers in-depth analysis, actual product use, unique data, and comparable product coverage. In its third edition, Google’s product reviews update aims to rank the most helpful and valuable product review information on the web for users. The first review update was out on April 8, 2021, the second on December 1, 2021, and the third on March 23, 2022. The new feature is called March 2022 product reviews update.
Google’s new product reviews
Google’s product reviews update: Google says it would prioritize product reviews in its search results rankings. Lower-quality product evaluations with “thin material that basically summarises a number of products” are not being penalized directly by Google. However, if you supply such content and you see degrade in ranking due to other content being promoted above yours, you will undoubtedly feel penalized. It claims this isn’t a penalty for your content, but rather a technique to reward sites with more insightful reviews with higher rankings.
This should only affect product reviews and not other content.
What’s different?

Google said the third product reviews update “builds on” the work of the previous two updates to improve Google’s “ability to detect high-quality product reviews.” “This will make it easier for us to put sound purchasing advice in front of customers. It also provides reward authors who are sincere in their efforts and helpful,” Alan Kent noted.
When it comes to the product reviews update, Google outlined the following criteria
Include facts on how a product performs or how it differs from prior versions, as well as other useful in-depth information, such as the pros or drawbacks of a given item.
It includes information that isn’t available from the maker, such as graphics, audio, or connections to other resources that detail the reviewer’s experience.
Explain how a product differs from its competitors or compares similar products.
The rollout
According to Google, the deployment will take place in the “coming weeks.” It should come as no surprise that these core changes will take a few weeks to roll out. The majority of the ranking fluctuation is likely to occur during the initial phases of this rollout.
Effects on users
According to Google, this update may affect users who “write product reviews in any language in the future,”. Although the first rollout will be limited to “English-language product reviews”, it also stated that this upgrade has had “good results” in the past. Moreover, the business “plans to expand product review support to more languages” in the future.
Please keep in mind that these updates might be quite large, practically on par with core upgrades
Update on previous recommendations for product reviews. Google stated regarding this upgrade that the “overall focus is on presenting people with information that delivers insightful analysis and unique research, content published by experts or fans who know the issue well.” That’s similar to the above-mentioned core update guidelines. There’s also a list of “other relevant questions to consider in terms of product reviews.” Google suggests that you address these topics and respond to these questions in your product reviews. Review your products.
When it’s acceptable, share your professional product knowledge.
Show what the product looks like in person or how to utilize it? Does it however include content that’s not available from the manufacturer?
Provide quantitative data on how a product performs across multiple performance categories?
What makes a product stand out from the crowd?
Can you compare and contrast products or explain which ones are best for certain situations?
Based on your investigation, what are the pros and cons of a product?
Advice
For this third edition of the product reviews update, Google has added three additional pieces of advice:
Are revisions to product reviews useful for ranking lists and comparison reviews? Yes. adjustments to product reviews affect all types of review content. The same best practices that we’ve discussed apply here. However, because ranked lists are shorter, you may wish to display expertise and reaffirm authenticity in a more brief manner.
Are there any suggestions for “best” product reviews? If you recommend a product as the greatest overall or for a specific purpose, be sure to explain why.
Should I still write evaluations for the products individually if I write a review that covers many products?
This isn’t a significant change:
Product reviews updates are not the same as core updates, Google previously stated. The product reviews update is a stand-alone update. According to Google, this is distinct from their normal core upgrades. Nonetheless, Google went on to say that the advice it gave for core updates, “about providing quality content for those,” is equally applicable here. Google also gave particular advice for this upgrade in addition to that advice.
Why is this important to us?
Whether you have product review information on your website, you should check your rankings to determine if it affects your rankings. Have you seen an increase, decrease, or no change in your Google organic traffic?
