Insulin Low Price Bill Passed But Opposed By Republicans

The insulin bill was originally included in President Joe Biden’s “Build Back Better” program, which aimed to lower the prices of various prescription pharmaceuticals by lowering the cost of production. When Build Back Better was unable to move forward in the Senate, supporters introduced a separate bill to address the high cost of this drug.

Shameful Opposition by Republicans to Low Insulin Price

On Thursday, 31st March, a vote of 232-193 helped to pass the Affordable Insulin Now Act. There were 12 Republicans joining Democrats in supporting the legislation, according to ABC News.
