Kevin Spacey Faces UK Sexual Assault Charges
Kevin Spacey Faces UK Sexual Assault Charges
Spacey’s legal troubles continue with multiple UK sexual assault charges. Kevin Spacey’s legal battles may be far from over. The disgraced Oscar winner now faces four charges of sexual assault in the UK.

The 62-year-old former “House of Cards” star faces multiple allegations relating to events from 2005 to 2013, according to a Thursday statement from the Crown Prosecution Service. Spacey was the artistic director of London’s famous Old Vic Theater during that time.
The alleged victims were not named in the policy announcement. The first man, who is now said to be in his 40s, is involved in two counts. He accused Spacey of sexual assault in London twice in March 2005.
The third charge involves a man, now in his 30s, who accused the actor of sexual assault in London in August 2008. CPS said there was a charge on Spacey for “causing a person to engage in penetrative sexual activity without consent,” a serious sexual act offense, according to the BBC. That charge relates to the same man.
The third man, also in his 30s, accuses Spacey of sexual assault in Gloucestershire, western England, in April 2013.
Rosemary Ainslie, chief of the Crown Prosecution Service’s special crimes division, told the Associated Press that the charges follow a review of evidence gathered by the London Metropolitan Police.
Spacey was questioned by British police in 2019
Spacey ran the Old Vic Theater between 2004 and 2015. He was questioned by British police in 2019 about claims by several men that he had assaulted them. The investigation revealed in 2017 for 20 complaints the Old Vic received about “a variety of inappropriate behavior”.
Ainslie told the BBC that CPS “reminds all concerned that criminal proceedings against Mr. Spacey are ongoing. He is entitled to a fair trial.” But the CPS could not confirm or deny whether the actor will be extradited to the UK.
Spacey’s representatives did not immediately respond Thursday to The Times’ request for comment.
Spacey’s legal team asked a New York court to dismiss a long-running sexual assault lawsuit
Meanwhile, in April, Spacey’s legal team asked a New York court to dismiss a long-running sexual assault lawsuit brought by “Rent” and “Star Trek: Discovery” actor Anthony Rapp. They argued that allegations that Spacey molested then-teenager Rapp at a 1980s party are false. They also claimed that the alleged events never happened, the AP reported.
At the height of the #MeToo movement, Rapp was explicitly the first alleged victim to say publicly that Spacey had done something sexually wrong. In October 2017, the Oscar winner was under a lot of scrutinies. Soon after that, BuzzFeed put out a story saying that Spacey had tried to hit on Rapp at a party in 1986. Rapp was only 14 years old at the time.
Spacey responded to Rapp’s story on Twitter less than three hours after it was posted online. He also apologized to Rapp, even though he said he didn’t remember the time Rapp said they met. Kevin later told everyone that he is gay, but people were very upset with him at the time.
Spacey lost his job as the main character on the Netflix show “House of Cards.”
Spacey was fired from his lead role in Netflix’s “House of Cards.”
Since then, Kevin Spacey has been in love a lot. He lost his main role on the Netflix show “House of Cards.” The last season of the critically acclaimed show went on without the actor. It eventually killed off his character, the scheming Frank Underwood, in a rude way. We see that Ridley Scott’s “All the Money in the World” gets rid of him.
In October of 2020, prosecutors in Los Angeles dropped a case of sexual battery because the person who said they were hurt had died. Moreover, the 18-year-old man, prosecutors in Massachusetts dropped a separate case in July. He said that Spacey had touched him inappropriately and refused to testify.
