Lamar Jackson 'Expiration Date' Passed According to Whitlock
Baltimore Beatdown

The Fox Sports Radio personality attacked Charm City free agent Lamar Jackson harshly, saying that not only should the Ravens release the franchise quarterback, but also their 31 NFL rivals should do the same.

Lamar Jackson’s “Expiration Date” as a Franchise QB has passed, according to Jason Whitlock of the Ravens

Jason Whitlock is perplexed as to why there is such drama when the Baltimore Ravens are faced with a crucial issue.

We might have passed Lamar Jackson’s prime as a franchise quarterback, according to Whitlock. “Lamar won’t ever become a great passer, plus I believe his days as a powerful difference-maker runner are over. Lamar Jackson provided them with consistent productivity for five years, thrills, and his MVP season, but they only managed to win one playoff game and make no Super Bowl chances. It may be the limit of Lamar Jackson’s potential for the Baltimore Ravens or indeed any team.”

Whitlock acknowledges that Jackson as well as the Ravens are not wholly to blame.

He inferentially praises Jackson for essentially pursuing a huge payday after Cleveland, a divisional opponent, offering Deshaun Watson a guarante $230 million despite the fact that Watson was “an embarrassment” because to many sexual assault charges.

Yet, he claims that give Jackson’s recent injury history (he has miss 10 of the Ravens’ last 22 games). The team is in a situation where they are not requiring to reward him for his performance on the scoreboards.

Whitlock thinks that no team should even consider hiring him, arguing that a deal akin to those sign by Watson in Cleveland and Russell Wilson in Denver would be too risky.

Whitlock says, “I don’t hate Lamar Jackson. “While I’m happy that he developed into a fantastic player over the course of these five years, organizations nonetheless need to make difficult decisions. Lamar Jackson doesn’t seem like a good fit for club number 32 either. At least not at the price he’s asking for, if 31 teams don’t want him. I leave Lamar Jackson behind.”

He continues by contrasting Jackson’s career with the comparably brilliant quarterback Cam Newton’s rather swift demise. Who is no longer in the league just six years after his utterly historic 2015 campaign in Carolina.

Even though he recognized that Jackson hasn’t always been the Ravens’ starting quarterback due to injuries,

Whitlock deems Jackson the “common denominator” for Baltimore’s recent failures despite his purported admiration for the quarterback.  It would seem that the outspoken Whitlock has decided what will happen to Jackson. Making no apologies for his possible future in the NFL. By the way, Lamar Jackson is 26.
