In one of his most bizarre NFL game endings, the Las Vegas Raiders defeated New England Patriots 30-24, keeping his slim playoff hopes alive.

LAS VEGAS RAIDERS OVERWHELM NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS IN WEIRD ENDGAME

24:24, 3 seconds before the end. Running back Ramondre Stevenson, who has enjoyed the monster play so far, had just scored another big win when he stumbled into Raiders territory. The clock has reached zero. This means that if Stevenson is tackled, the game is over and goes into overtime.

BALL STEVENSON TO JACOBI

Stevenson decided to throw the ball back to his teammate Jacobi Myers, hoping to score a win and avoid his extra ten minutes of play in the event of a fatal accident.

Myers caught the cross and threw it at his teammate in an attempt to keep the game going. But when he tried to throw it to quarterback Mac Jones, Raiders defensive end Chandler Jones caught the ball.

Myers conceded that he should have kept the ball and sent the game into extra time.

NFL MYERS SAID

According to the NFL, Myers told MassLive’s Mark Daniels, “He hadn’t met Chandler Jones at the time. “I thought he was open, so I approached him and tried to get him to play with it, but the score was a draw, so I should have just gone down.

QUARTERBACK

Patriots quarterback Jones regretted not attacking his rival because of his position. According to the NFL, Jones “has to hit the man [Chandler Jones]. “It’s my fault, it’s my fault. … I have to attack the guy and I go into overtime.

COACH WAS SIRPRICE TO SEE THE  GAME

Raiders head coach John McDaniels, who was the Patriots’ former offensive coordinator, was also surprise to see the game go into overtime after the game,” McDaniels told the NFL. “When he played the ball sideways…when they passed the ball backward it didn’t feel like a side play to me. “When they gave me the ball back, I was like, ‘OL, take it, go overtime.’ And then I saw the ball in the air and Chandler [Jones] under it. Sometimes I thought, ‘Oh my God, maybe.’ We have a chance.

“And when he getting it, I noticed Mac (Jones) was back there, just hoping he could dodge any attempt that Mac had to tackle him, that he had enough juice left in his body to get to the end zone,” the author says.

CONCLUSION

The suspenseful conclusion followed a thrilling contest in which the Patriots outscored the Las Vegas Raiders 21 straight times in the second half after trailing by 17-3 at the break. While the England Patriots season record dropping to 7-7 and their playoff aspirations are now in jeopardy, it helped the Raiders improve to 6-8 overall to maintain their playoff ambitions.
