Lata Mangeshkar and Noor Jahan had a strong bond

Often celebrities have a relationship that goes beyond blood. But Lata Mangeshkar and Noor Jahan’s relationship was much stronger than blood relations, as both shared their feelings with each other in such a way that the bond became stronger.
In one of her interviews, Lata Mangeshkar told about her first meeting with Noor Jahan that I was a servant in a production company in Kolhapur, Noor Jahan was an actress in the film Bari Maa, the producer of the film told me that Noor Jahan was her friend. Voice over, at that time I sang a song on which Noor Jahan said that you sing very well, but sing classical and do Riaz. This incident was in 1944.
An incident of Lata Mangeshkar
An incident is also quite famous when she went to the Indian city of Amritsar, two hours away from Lahore where Noor Jahan used to release. Lata Mangeshkar had expressed her desire to meet Noor Jahan, upon which composer Ramachandran used his logic to arrange a meeting between the two friends. The meeting was held in a place known as the New Mainland.
While Lata could not forget another incident in her life, what actually happened was that when Lata Mangeshkar was waiting to meet Noor Jahan, she was surprised to see Noor Jahan because Noor Jahan was praying. She was crying while praying.
Lata was thinking seeing this and said that I was watching all this very carefully because it was all very new to me. After her prayer ended, I asked her why she was crying in front of God, to which Noor Jahan said that I was asking God for forgiveness for my sins, and she also explained to me in this regard. After I went to Pakistan, I could not meet Noor Jahan, there was a desire to sing along, but this desire could never be fulfilled.
Emotional moment between them
As soon as Noor Jahan saw Lata, she came running and hugged Lata tightly. Tears were flowing from the eyes of both of them and even we who were watching this scene could not stop our tears, even the soldiers on both sides started crying. Jahan’s husband was also with her and Lata was accompanied by her sisters Usha and Meena.
