Mark Wiens’ career as a freelancer

Mark Wiens came to the realization that he was running short on funds when he was traveling in South Asia for some time. After flying back to Bangkok, he made arrangements to work as an English instructor there for the next calendar year. However, he wasn’t enjoying his job in teaching English, so he decided to start working as a freelancer instead. Mark was able to stick to a strict spending plan since the cost of living in Thailand was so cheap.

Mark Wiens started his own culinary blog with the spare time he had. Along with his friend and fellow Arizona native Dwight Turner, he established the eating Thai food blog. Mark and Dwight both had a strong passion for eating, and throughout their stay in Thailand, they spent a lot of time sampling a variety of local foods. They quickly realized that they had a lot of images of Thai cuisine, and as a result, they decided to launch a food blog using those photos.

In July 2013, he tied the knot with Ying Wiens.

When Mark Wiens and Ying first met in Bangkok, there was an immediate connection between them. Mark wed his Thai bride in July 2013, and the ceremony took place in Thailand.
