Naomi Osaka Gave Birth to Her Daughter: Announced by WTA
In January, the four-time major winner revealed Naomi Osaka was expecting by sharing a picture of a pregnancy test on her social networking pages. In June, she and her partner, rapper Cordae, shared the news that they were expecting a girl.
WTA announced that Naomi Osaka has given birth to a daughter.
The WTA has confirmed that Naomi Osaka, a former world number one, just gave birth to a daughter.
Osaka hasn’t competed until the power source Toray Pan Pacific Grand in Tokyo in Sep of last year. But she has already stated that she intends to play tennis again in 2024 in time for the Australian Open, which she has previously won twice.
Following a situation in August 2021 where she was obviously upset and anxious while confronting the media during a required press conference at Roland Garros, Osaka took a break from playing competitive tennis. Also revealed many widely publicized confessions about her difficulties with mental health.
After withdrawing from the French Open that year. Osaka admitted she had “suffered long bouts of depression” ever since winning her maiden major title in 2018.
Osaka posted a picture of herself along with the caption,
“These short periods away from basketball [have] definitely given me an entirely new passion. This as well as understanding for the game I’ve devoted my life to.
She continued, “I know I have many things to look towards in the future.” One thing I’m looking up to is when my child recognizes me from one of my games as well as tells someone.
When the Japanese player injured withdrew at the French Open, withdrew from Wimbledon, and tumbled out of the U.S. Open early in 2021, it was a really awful year for her. She made the decision at that point to put her family and health above tennis. She lit the Olympic cauldron for the first time ever during the 2021 Tokyo Olympics. In 2019, 2020, and 2021, Time magazine listed her among the top 100 most important persons in the world.
