We will highlight some history of this league as many people don’t know about this. Let’s start from its origin:

ORIGIN:
After the success of English football in Europe in time of early 1970’s and 1980’s. The era of late 1980’s is some down point for the team. As stadiums were emptied by the audience and the league was banned for 5 years. By the start of 1990’s the league starts its revival. This was felt after the FIFA World Cup when England reaches to the semifinals of the World Cup. After it the ban from the English clubs were lifted. After it they really worked very hard for the audience and do many upgradations in the stadium for the relief of the football lovers.

Commercialism of the league:
In the time of 1980’s many English football clubs become commercial by transforming their business, they did this to maximize their revenue. This commercialism led to the power distributed among the top clubs of that time. Due to this their revenue also increased. This division among the clubs led to the threat to breaking down of the football league. As by using their power they misuse it by taking their voting power and getting some financial and sponsorships favors. And they demanded 50% of the revenue generated by the television in 1986. They ask T.V channels to pay more for their football coverage. And this revenue grows as an essential part of the league.
