PUBG Developer Krafton Will Work on NFT and the Metaverse

PUBG Developer Krafton, the company that owns Bluehole, the company that made more than $300 million last year by making the popular PUBG game, is moving to compete in the world of metaverse and NFT projects.
BUBG game Developer partnership with two companies to offer NFT avatars and another metaverse:
On February 8, the company said that it had bought shares in two companies: Seoul Auction Blue ($2.5 million) and Xbyblue ($4.1 million). Xbyblue is a company that uses technology to protect and curate digital art IPs, which the digital markets purchase. Seoul Auction Blue runs a joint art purchasing platform called “Sotwo.”
PUBG Developer Krafton, the company that makes PUBG Battlegrounds, has teamed up with these two companies to make NFT avatars and other products based on its game. PUBG Battlegrounds went free-to-play last year.

With that third deal with Naver Z, the company wants to build a joint Web3 and NFT-based platform. They made Asia’s largest Metaverse platform called Zepeto.
The South Korean company has explicitly made Zepeto. It is generally a virtual world where people could interact with each other and their avatars using AR technology. The company made Zapato. Over 290 million people from all over the world have joined since the platform was first released. It has become one of the most popular Metaverse platforms in Asia, and it has a lot of users. PUBG Developer Krafton, the developer of PUBG, will help make the assets of this world.

The company however says it will use its experience making immersive online multiplayer games like PUBG and Battlegrounds. Players can use it to make a tool for making user-generated content (UGC) and build a high-quality virtual world with Unreal Engine, which is a game engine. Subsequently, for its part, Naver Z plans to use what it has learned from running a huge Metaverse platform like Zepeto to run PUBG Developer Krafton’s Metaverse service and the environment around it.

Krafton is significantly the latest in a long line of big, traditional game companies that are thinking about adding NFTs and the idea of a “metaverse” to their business plans.
