Ricky Martin Denies Allegations of Relationship with his Nephew
Ricky Martin denies the incest claims, and his lawyer says the claims are false and disgusting:
Ricky Martin’s lawyer has released a statement saying that his client is innocent of the charge that he had an incestuous relationship with his 21-year-old nephew. Attorney Martin Singer called the accusation “false” and “disgusting”. He also said the accuser is “struggling with deep mental health challenges”.

Two weeks ago, news came out that the Grammy-winning recording artist and actor, who is 50 years old, had been given a restraining order by a judge in Puerto Rico. It was said that Martin, who got married in 2017 and has two young children with his wife, had not accepted his recent breakup with a “romantic partner”. He had been seen at least three times hanging out near the petitioner’s house. “The petitioner fears for his safety,” El Vocero, a Spanish-language news site, wrote after seeing the court papers.
According to Ricky Martin’s lawyer, the allegations are false:
Martin’s lawyers said, “The allegations that led to a protection order are completely false and made up”. They also said, “We are very confident that when the real facts of this case come out, our client Ricky Martin will be fully vindicated.”
On Friday, the website Marca said that Martin’s brother, Eric Martin, said that the accuser is the singer’s nephew. He added that he dated Martin for seven months.
Martin has a court date on July 21. At that time, a judge will decide if the restraining order should stay in place. It’s still not clear what charges could be brought against Martin. However, Puerto Rico has very strict laws against incest. It varies widely from state to state and territory to territory. Martin could get 50 years in prison if he is found guilty.
Martin’s lawyer said, “Of course, Ricky Martin has never been in any kind of sexual or romantic relationship with his nephew. He never will be.” He also said, “The idea is not only false, but it’s also gross. We all want this man to get the help he needs so badly. But most of all, we hope that this terrible case will be thrown out as soon as a judge looks at the facts.
The famous actor is currently filming the series Ms. American Pie in Los Angeles with Alison Janney, Laura Dern, Kristen Wiig, Carol Burnett, showrunner Abe Sylvia, and director Tate Taylor. Photographers for TMZ caught him going to work as the news about him came out.
The actor’s manager Rebecca Drucker sued him:
Martin is also being sued by Rebecca Drucker. She used to be his manager and wants $3 million in unpaid commissions.
Rebecca Drucker, who used to be Ricky Martin’s manager, is suing him for more than $3 million because of “unpaid commissions.”
Variety magazine says that Drucker managed the singer of “Nobody Wants to Be Lonely” during two “different times.”
“Because his personal and professional lives were in complete chaos,” the ex-manager said.
The lawsuit was reportedly filed by Drucker in Los Angeles Central District Court. In the complaint, she said that she helped Martin with “recording contracts, tour contracts, sponsorship deals, and other business ventures.”
