Rihanna is Helping Barbados by Giving a Lot of Money
Rihanna seems to be good at everything, from music and makeup to lingerie and being a mom. However, the singer can also call herself a philanthropist. She gave millions of dollars to help the country where she was born, Barbados.

She has set up a whole foundation to invest money in the Caribbean island.
Rihanna, whose real name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty, has done a lot of volunteer work in the past.
Charity work:
With a global net worth of $1.7 billion (about £1.4 billion), the second-best-selling female music artist of all time still has time for charity work. She set up a foundation to invest in her home country.
The website for the foundation says that the Umbrella singer started the Clara Lionel Foundation (CLF) in 2012.
It was named “in honor” of Rihanna’s grandparents, Clara and Lionel Braithwaite, who were Clara and Lionel Braithwaite.
“A Vision for a Climate-Ready Caribbean” is the CLF’s slogan:
The foundation helps communities “prepare for and survive” natural disasters by putting money into “climate justice initiatives.”
Rihanna has said that giving back to a larger “purpose” is just as important as running a business.
She said, “There is nothing more important than saving lives and making lives better, because the purpose is bigger than me,” according to Fox 13.
The foundation invested a huge $1.75 million (about £1.45 million) in the country’s Queen Elizabeth hospital’s radiotherapy equipment in the first year alone.
The executive director of the foundation, Justine Lucas, however, said, “We gave a couple of million dollars worth of equipment to make sure the oncology center was the most up-to-date in the area. That really got the foundation going.”
CLF has done a lot of work on the Caribbean island:
Since then, the CLF has done a lot of work on the Caribbean island and is still going strong after more than a decade.
The CLF says that inclusivity is the best way to go because it is based on the idea of intersectionality. It is what is at the very heart of the foundation.
The foundation says, “We exclusively think that making intersectional grants lets us rethink what is possible in philanthropy.”
The CLF is called “not just another nonprofit,” and its work is divided into three main areas. The Climate Resilience Initiative, Climate Justice, and Legacy Projects.
According to their 2021 annual report, the CLF leveraged grants worth more than $80 million (about £66 million). It significantly gave out grants worth $7.5 million (about £6.2 million) while working in seven different Caribbean countries.
As part of their work to fight against racial inequality, they also worked with 83 active partners. It somehow included Black Visions and Movement for Black Lives.
Their good work significantly includes promoting sexual and reproductive rights in the Dominican Republic, rebuilding the Morne Prosper and Paix Bouche schools after Hurricane Maria, and giving money to the Information Saves Lives project.
Rihanna’s foundation conclusively keeps putting money into building hurricane shelters, medical facilities, schools, and political spaces.
The singer will significantly make her official comeback at the Super Bowl halftime show on Sunday, February For2.
